New Castle 

NewBark PawLooza

Bring your dog to NewBark PawLooza in Newark. Have fun with demos, participate in contests, or have a romp around the park. You can also meet rescue dogs and see if there’s one that you want to take home!

Hockessin Art & Book Fair

Meet local authors at the Hockessin Art & Book Fair. Pick up some great books and enjoy face painting, caricature artists, and kids crafts.

Veterans Walking Tours

Date: Saturday, November 9, 2019

Location: Immanuel Church on the Green, 50 Market Street

The New Castle Court House Museum is giving tours of the Immanuel Church cemetery. They will be highlighting soldiers’ graves from the Revolutionary War through the Vietnam War.

What’s All This Talk About Native Plants?

Veterans Day at First State Heritage Park

Spend your Veterans Day at First State Heritage Park. The park is offering walking tours with the topics Military Heroes of Delaware and Tales of Slavery and Freedom. There will also be guided tours of The Old State House and The Johnson Victrola Museum.

Cider Fest at Fifer’s

Native American Day Celebration

Join the Nanticoke Indian Tribe as they celebrate their heritage. There will be traditional foods, crafts, singing, storytelling, dancing, face painting, and free museum tours.

Sun, Moon, and Bridge

Hike to the top of Indian River Inlet Bridge. Once there, watch a gorgeous sunset and stay as the full moon rises over the ocean.
